FUTURE PLANS FOR STAFF AND KEY STAKEHOLDERS

We already have a team of young and dynamic professionals and support staff the ITS objective and we shall continue to look for ways to ensure their development which will further improve on our overall services. We also note with keen interest the need to train our partners both at the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and the National Revenue Authority (NRA) and we have identified various courses for their development.

In the next twelve months we plan to nominate at least participants from within our staff, the MTI and NRA to attend off shore trainings that relate to Destination Inspection and exports trade.

We shall also organize quarterly local trainings and workshop for key stakeholders and partners including Customs Officers, Officers from the Ministry, Clearing Agents, etc. as a means of exporting knowledge or transfer skill and also ensure a good understanding of our processes.
