Profile of Mathew Kambay
Mathew Labor Kambay holder of MSC in Accounting and Finance, coupled with over ten (10) years practical experience at various senior Financial and Administrative capacities in both national and multinational companies, he is poised to partner with the team in ensuring that the company is recognized as the most reliable and customer focused provider of trade services in Sierra Leone through excellent service delivery and innovative solutions.
Mathew currently heads the Finance/Admin Department and is charged with the responsibility of directing and supervising the Finance & Administrative Team in ensuring operational and managerial excellence. He laisses with the banks for payment confirmation, accounts reconciliation and support report preparation to the Ministry of Trade and Industry as well as for management decision making.
In his previous engagements, he has served as Finance and Accounting Manager at British American Tobacco (SL) Limited (2002-2006), Head of Account Department at The Reliance Insurance Trust Corporation commonly known as RITCORP (2007-Nov. 2011), and as Commercial Superintendent African minerals (later taken over by Shandong Steel (SL) Limited Company in 2015), where he was among the last batch of employees that were redundant in 2018.
Mathew is a well experienced and self-driven, with strong numerical and analytical skills in cost optimization, and with passion for operational excellence and compliance. He is an accomplished communicator, with balanced decision making, and leadership skills. His accounting and financial competencies include, but are not limited to, strategic financial management and reporting, efficient cost analysis, review and control as well as process optimization (using QuickBooks, Pronto, SAP, Sun System etc.)
He is happily married with two children
