Martin Komba is a dedicated, smart and a task-oriented individual with professional experience in Banking, Finance, Shipping, Logistic and supply chain management. He started his professional career as a banker in March 2007 at Guaranty Trust Bank SL Ltd. At the bank he rose to the position of Relationship Manager (Branch Manager) at Cline town Branch. He left the bank in 2011 and joined OBT Shipping Co. SL Ltd as Finance Manager and Head of Logistics.
At OBT Shipping he was responsible for the day to day management of the company resources and preparing monthly and yearly financial reports, analyzing profit and loss on all customs clearing files vessel disbursement and all port charges. He was in charge of all chartered vessel for African Mineral, Rutile, London Mining and Sierra Mineral Holdings. He was able to expand Scanlog Clearing and Forwarding mainly focusing on the mining sector and corporate clients. In 2014 he was hired by Pacific International Shipping Lines (PIL) a containerized shipping line where he was in charge of the entire operations with knowledge in port operations and berth allocation.
Prior to joining Integrated Trade Services, Martin and some other Sierra Leoneans co-owned a shipping, logistics and transportation company (ERA Investments SL Ltd) specialized in shipping and customs clearance, Port Operations, import and export and transportation. The company has been the logistic partner for American Embassy, Mantrac/Caterpillar, Sierra Mineral Holdings, Addax Bioenergy/ Sunbird, Sierra Rutile to name but a few.
Presently, Martin Komba is the General Manager of Operation at Integrated Trade Services
Martin holds a Diploma in Accounting, BSc. Hons. Degree In Applied Accounting from IPAM University of Sierra Leone, and a MBA in International Business from Amity University.
