Profile of John Brima
John is an experienced and industrious secondary science teacher and administrator with well-developed skills in administrative duties and responsibilities in both the private and public sectors of education in Sierra Leone and the United Kingdom. With over 15 years as a professional educator, he introduced concepts into curriculum development related to life and social skills as well as teach training and parenting programs. John has proven abilities in problem solving, people management and motivation that breeds success.
As an experienced administrator, he strives to develop individual self-esteem and encourage the understanding of diversity in cultural, gender differences and physical limitations. Prior to joining ITS, John also demonstrated a superior interpersonal and communication skills that fostered meaningful relationships with students, staff, and parents. He is passionate in working with others to achieve a certain objective on time and with excellence. In my previous role, I improved the performance, operations, and productivity of my team to an appreciable standard that exceeded expectations.
I hold a Bachelor of Science with honors degree in marine science and teacher training certificates in the Principles of special needs and mental disabilities. In addition, I engaged in various leadership training sessions as a part of a wide range of my continuous professional development.
